Kenia 2014 - MilchKuh und Ziegen für das Kinderheim stars of africa
Am 19.08.2014 war es soweit, 3 Mitglieder Nadine Sautter, Ulrike Zipperer und Ester Ay, des Vereins Weltenkinder sind wieder in das Kinderheim Stars of Africa nahe Nairobi gereist. Wie bereits in unserem Bericht vom 17. April erwähnt, konnten wir durch den erfolgreichen Kuchenverkauf bei der Firma Motorrad Speer, dem Kinderheim 1 Milchkuh, 2 Ziegen, Medizin für die Tiere (Wurmbefall), sowie einen Teil für das Geländer des neuen Schulgebäudes (das Geländer ist momentan noch in der Fertigung) kaufen.

Durch zusätzlich private Spenden in Höhe von 150,-- Euro konnten wir es ermöglichen die Kinder mit Reis, Mais, Bohnen für ca. 3 Monate zu versorgen.
Wie auch letztes Jahr haben wir wieder zahlreiche Sachspenden erhalten. Mit 3x23 kg haben wir uns auf den Weg gemacht und konnten damit viele Kinderherzen mit Spielsachen, Büchern, Kleidung, Stifte und Papier glücklich machen. Besonders wichtig waren auch die Hygieneartikel (Zahnbürste, Zahnpasta, Seifen etc. ) für die Kinder.
Wir danken Allen recht herzlich, die uns mit Spenden jeglicher Art unterstützt haben.
Once again, on the 19th of August, Nadine Sautter, Ulrike Zipperer and Ester Ay, 3 members of our organisation Weltenkinder e.V have been travelling again to the orphanage "Stars of Africa" which is close to Nairobi, Kenia. As already mentioned in our report from April 17th, according to the successfull sales of homemade cakes at the company Motorrad Speer, we have been able to finance 1 cow, 2 goats, medicin for the animals (against worms) as well as a new "Handrail" for the school so that the children do not tumble anymore from the stairs.
Due to some more private donations over the amount of 150,00 Euro, we provided the children with ricec, mais and beans for approximatly 3 months .
Same as last year we have received a lot of physical donations. We have started our journey with 3x23 kg and with toys, books, clothes, pens and papers we have made a lot of children happy and put a smile into their hearts. All the hygienic articles as tooth paste, tooth brush, soap, ect) have been more than welcome.
We would love to thank all the people who have supported us with different kind of donations and made all this happen.
